Maintenance Mechanic/Technician-PHARMACEUTICAL in Hauppauge, NY

Working in our state of the art pharmaceutical facility, you will be responsible for supporting production groups in performing repair and maintenance of production equipment and systems to maximize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, conveyors, overhead doors, bearings, gears, sprockets and pulleys. The candidate must have experience following GMPs and SOPs. RESPONSIBILITIES:? Assists Engineering Group in commissioning and validation of manufacturing systems.? Perform Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance for repairs and troubleshooting problems with the machinery.? Maintain critical equipment setup during product changeover.? Monitor manufacturing systems to ensure trouble free operations.? Complete repair and maintenance work sheets following Good Documentation Practices.? Assist Engineering group in commissioning and qualification activities.? Clearly communicate with various departments to ensure proper production.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:? High School diploma or Trade School diploma.? Minimum 5 years industry experience; pharmaceutical industry a plus.? Hands on experience with repair and troubleshooting of tablet presses using hand tools and instruments.? Knowledge of automated compression control instruments and systems.? Knowledge of automated solid dosage manufacturing equipment.? Experience with PLC and electrical/electronic control systems.? Act with the highest level of professionalism and ethics in dealing with staff, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.?
